Van trucks are generally composed of class II chassis, sub frame (not necessary) and cargo compartment. After years of development, great changes have taken place in the materials and structure of the van, especially the cargo box, which basically meets the needs of different levels, such as convenient loading, unloading and transportation, safety, economy and so on.
In terms of cargo compartment materials, there are steel plate, aluminum plate, FRP composite plate, aluminum-plastic composite plate and cord fabric (the first four are hardware materials and the latter are software materials), which meet the needs of different users. If you are a transporter, what kind of material is most suitable for you?
(1) Steel plate. For example, color steel plate, galvanized plate, plastic plated plate, etc., there are two production methods: A. skeleton type, that is, 1.2mm steel plate (flat plate or triangular rib corrugated) is covered outside the skeleton (for bearing and fixing) and connected with rivets. It has the advantages of simple processing and low price, and is suitable for small batch production of enterprises without equipment; b. Frame less type, that is, 2mm steel plate is processed into container corrugated shape, which is used for side, top and door. There is no skeleton, so there are less materials and low price, but there are high requirements for processing equipment. The market share of steel plate van truck is gradually shrinking, and the frame less truck has become the direction.

(2) Aluminum. Including aluminum plate and aluminum profile. Aluminum plate: press the anti rust aluminum plate into triangular rib corrugated plate, rivet it in pieces, and then rivet it with the skeleton (steel or aluminum) as skin; Aluminum profile: it is assembled by aluminum alloy profile in blocks (overlapping). Aluminum van has the characteristics of good visual effect, light self weight, not easy to rust, long service life and higher cost than steel van, so it is especially favored by medium and high-end users.

(3) FRP composite plate. It is composed of FRP (inner and outer layers) and central inter layer (laminate), like sandwich structure. Finally, it is combined into frame-less car body by aluminum alloy corner pieces. This kind of composite board has the advantages of corrosion resistance, stamping resistance, easy cleaning, good sealing, surface suitable for spraying and pasting, light weight and so on. It is gradually becoming the mainstream of the market. (Note: FRP, abbreviated as FRP, also known as glass fiber reinforced material, can be divided into polyester FRP, epoxy FRP and phenolic FRP.)
(4) Aluminum plastic composite board. It is composed of 0.4mm aluminum plate (inner and outer layer) and 3mm plastic through special process and anti-corrosion treatment. It has the characteristics of high strength, strong corrosion resistance, good fire resistance, heat insulation, sound insulation, easy maintenance, good processability, good flatness and light weight. It is a new composite plate material, and the price is similar to that of 12mm aluminum.

The material of ordinary van body produced in China is mainly metal skeleton with skin with low price and good strength, and FRP composite panel (polyurethane composite panel) and aluminum material are also used; In foreign countries, honeycomb sandwich board, polypropylene board, high-strength PVC board, FRP composite board and cord fabric are selected, mainly pursuing light weight, high strength and convenient loading and unloading, which represents the development direction of Van trucks in the world.
