FRP: Fiberglass Reinforce plastic, also written as GRP, Chinese name: FRP thermosetting plastic or glass fiber reinforced plastic. It is a composite material composed of matrix and reinforcement. The matrix of GRP material is resin, which acts as a bond, accounting for 30% to 40% of the total volume. Resin is a thermosetting plastic, including epoxy resin (EP), phenolic resin (PF), etc., and resin is also an organic non-metallic material. The reinforcement of the GRP material is glass fiber, which acts as a reinforcement. Glass fiber is a kind of inorganic non-metal man-made inorganic fiber, such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, Kevlar fiber B, etc., accounting for 60%~70% of the total volume. Therefore, GRP is a plastic-based composite material composed of organic non-metal and inorganic non-metal.

GRP has good electrical insulation and bonding properties, high mechanical strength and heat resistance, good spinnability, resistance to general acids and alkalis and organic solvents, and mildew resistance. The molding shrinkage rate is small, and the volume shrinkage rate is 1% to 5%. After adding the curing agent, it must be pressurized and heated for molding, and it can also be cured at room temperature under contact pressure.
