Among the insulation materials we often come into contact with at present, they are generally EPS, XPS and PU.
EPS is a thermoplastic with the advantages of low cost and good heat insulation performance, but poor flame retardant performance and general adhesive performance.
XPS also has a certain degree of thermal insulation properties. Because this material is a reasonable reuse of polystyrene waste, it is also conducive to environmental protection, its outstanding advantages are the general cost, good waterproof performance, high strength, stable molding, and even as an aircraft runway material, in recent years widely used in the field of exterior wall insulation. Its disadvantage is poor adhesive performance and general heat insulation performance.
PU refers to polyurethane foam, generally in building insulation mainly refers to rigid foam. Polyurethane rigid foam is the current international performance of insulation material, all performance indicators are better than the traditional XPS, and EPS, not only good heat insulation, strong bonding, and easy to continuous production, molding beauty now, but the disadvantage is the high cost.
