Why do closed cooling towers save a lot of water ?
Closed cooling tower is divided into internal and external circulation system . It not only has a good cooling effect , but also can save a lot of energy consumption . Let's see how it saves water .
1. How does the internal circulation system save water .
The inner circulation water ( or other cooling medium ) circulates in a closed coil , completely isolating the outside world , so the water is not evaporated and consumed . Compared with traditional open cooling towers , it saves a lot of circulating water . Due to the large contact area between water and air , large evaporation and serious water consumption during the operation of the tower .
2. How does the external circulation system save water .
The spray pump of the closed cooling tower pumps water from the collection tank , sends the water to the upper part of the coil , and the water is evenly sprayed on the surface of the coil through the nozzle , and the heat is enchanged with the wall of the tube , and the heat is brought out of the tower through the fan . Unevaporated water droplets are returned through the dehydrator to the collection tank and reused . Therefore , the closed cooling tower can reuse the circulating water , and the water saving rate is high . The closed cooling tower is a closed working environment , so the drifit rate is very low .
3. Operation mode of closed cooling tower .
The closed cooling tower has two operating modes , dry and wet , which will be adjusted according to the outlet temperature , working conditions , seasons and whether the local water resources are sufficient . When the effluent temperature is relatively low , the wet operation can be started , that is , the air cooling + spray system can be opened : when effluent temperature is ralatively close to the wet bulb temperature ,the dry operation can be started , that is , the air cooling system can be opened . ( If the sprinkler system is not turned on , it will save a lot of water ) ; In spring and summer , due to the high temperature , it is necessary to open air cooling+air cooling . The spray system . In autumn and winter , the temperature is lower , and sometimes you just need to turn on the air cooling system . In addition , the advantages of closed cooling towers are more obvious for areas in the north of our country that are rekatively short of water .
Most importantly , the closed cooling tower is controlled by the electrical system during operation . The spray system starts and stops at any time according to the outlet temperature , which reduces the water and eletricity consumption to a certain extent .
