September 2 News, 41-year-old Finnish "Iceman" Kimi Raikkonen announced his retirement after the end of the season, ending his 20-year F1 career. Raikkonen said that he made the decision last winter.

Raikkonen was born in Espoo on October 17, 1979, a Finnish racing driver.
Raikkonen joined the Sauber team as a Formula One driver in 2001 and has only participated in more than 20 low-level Formula Renault races before. Raikkonen got the F1 super driver's license under the strong guarantee of team boss Pete Sauber.
He joined the McLaren team in 2002 and was nicknamed the Ice man because of his silent character. He is regarded as one of the drivers capable of winning the championship. In 2003 and 2005, they lost to Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso respectively in differential points and ranked second.
Joined the Ferrari team in 2007 and became the highest paid driver; defeated the defending champion Alonso and rookie Hamilton in the race that year to become the annual championship. In 2009, due to the addition of Alonso, the Ferrari team ended its contract with Raikkonen ahead of schedule. Raikkonen switched to the WRC event.

In 2012, Raikkonen returned to Formula One by joining Lotus and won the first championship for the team in Abu Dhabi. He returned to the Ferrari team in 2014. In 2019, he left the Ferrari team and joined the Alfa Romeo team.
