Closed cooling tower need to consider the problem of anti-freezing .
In the northern winter , the comperature is usually lower than zero , and the operation of the closed cooling tower is becoming increasingly prominent . If not properly addressed , the heat exchange tube or other components of the cooling tower may be frozen . According to different process characteristics , some closed cooling towers run all day in winter , some run during certain time periods , and others are hardly used . But everyone needs to think about winterization .
1. If the closed cooling tower does not need to be operated in winter , the spray water and internal circulating water must be drained in the winter when it is basically not used . It is recommened to use compressed air to force the internal circulating water with a pressure greater than 4 kg , and it is not recommended to use carbon steel tube heat exchangers for drainage .
2. Anti-freezing operation in part time .
Closed cooling tower antifreeze has two parts : spray system and internal circulating water system (softened water ) .
The antifreeze problem of the spray water system usually adds an electric heater to the water tray , which uaually turns on when the spray water is below 5 degrees Celsius and stops above 8 degrees Celsius . The temperature probe transmits the signal to the control cabinet and antomatically controls the start and stop of the electric heater . The power selection of the electric heater is determined according to the circulating water volume and the external temperature .
Ethylene glycol solution or electric heating equipment can be used to protect the internal circulating water system from freezing . The freezing temperature of the glycol solution should be lower than the local temperature .
For large cooling system occasions , you can consider digging a pool to spray water into it , which can save the power consumption cost of electric heating operation , and you can also put medicine in the pool to improve the water quality of the spray .
3. Frost protection for year-round operation .
Closed cooling towers that operate all year round , if equipped with electrical control system , may cause changes in the number of cooling towers due to changes in the load of the main system , so it is also necessary to consider the problem of antifreeze . Unused equipment can be emptied before winter .
