The difference between plywood and fiberboard
Plywood is made by cutting wood into thin plates, after drying, bonding several thin plates with an adhesive, pressing and heating them.
Fibreboard is made from waste materials such as board skin, shavings, branches, etc., which are crushed, soaked, and ground into wood pulp, and then subjected to wet pressing molding, drying treatment and other processes.

Plywood is a three-layer or more than three-layer thin board made from logs that are peeled into veneer or wood square is sliced into thin wood, and then glued with adhesive. Usually an odd-numbered layer of veneer is used, and the fiber directions of adjacent layers of veneer are arranged and glued vertically to each other. Therefore, there are odd layers of plywood such as three-in-one, five-in-one, and seven-in-one. From the structural point of view, the outermost veneer of plywood is called the surface board, and the front surface board is called the front panel. It is the best quality veneer.
Fiberboard is a product made from plant fibers as the main raw material through processes such as fiber separation, molding, drying and hot pressing. According to the density of the product, fiberboard can be divided into three categories: the density above 0.8g/cm3 is called hard fiberboard; the density 0.5~0.88g/cm3 is medium density fiberboard; the lower density is soft board. Soft fiberboard is mainly used in the construction sector as a sound insulation material. In order to achieve the effects of insulation, heat preservation and sound absorption, soft fiberboard can be used as wall panels, partition panels and ceilings. The smaller the density of the board, the greater the thickness, the better the sound absorption effect. And the surface roughness or unevenness is beneficial to improve the sound absorption effect, so grooves or perforations on the board surface can improve the sound absorption capacity
