FRP Cladding Sheets for Cooling Tower

The square cross-flow cooling tower is composed of five main components: wall panels, tower top fans, chassis, air inlet shutters, and packing. Except that the packing is flame-retardant plastic, the other components are made of metal materials. The wallboard adopts glass fiber reinforced plastic machine board, which is flat, beautiful and corrosion-resistant.

Cooling tower composition structure

(1) Panel: FRP material, smooth and beautiful surface, corrosion-resistant and anti-aging.

(2) Filler: It is a modified polyvinyl chloride two-way point wave plate, with good thermal performance, low airflow resistance, good rigidity, heat resistance of 75 ℃, cold resistance, and flame retardant.

(3) Fan: The blade is made of alloy aluminum plate. The fan has the characteristics of reasonable aerodynamic force, large air volume, high efficiency, low noise and corrosion resistance.

(4) Motor and reducer: external equipment.

(5) Water tank: FRP material, uniform water distribution, ultra-low noise type has a cover plate to block light, prevent debris from flying in, and reduce splashing sound.

(6) Muffler cover: FRP material, internally glued cavity type flame-retardant PVC film muffler material.

(7) Shutters: made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, which can prevent splashing and make the air flow into the tower uniform.

(8) Water tank: made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, which plays a role of water collection, is equipped with automatic water replenishment facilities, and can directly absorb water in a closed loop.

(9) Skeleton: assembled structure of hemmed steel, with good rigidity, light weight, convenient transportation and installation, hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion

1. Space saving and light structure

Using high-efficiency heat exchange packing specially designed for this series of cooling towers, its heat exchange area is greatly increased. Compared with the original HBLD series and the original HBLCD series, its floor space is greatly reduced. Due to the optimization of structural design and the use of steel structure , The operating weight is also greatly reduced.

2. Save electricity

The use of fillers with low ventilation resistance and a high-efficiency wing-shaped glass fiber reinforced plastic fan designed by Tsinghua University for cooling towers reduces the power of the motor. The ultra-low noise type uses a smaller motor power and saves electricity. According to user requirements, a two-speed motor is used to save electricity.

3. Very low operating noise

Adopting Tsinghua University's FRP material wing low-noise axial flow fan and a low-noise motor designed specifically for cooling towers, thereby reducing the operating noise of the cooling tower. The ultra-low noise series cooling towers have lower operating noise and fully comply with environmental protection requirements. If it is equipped with a two-speed motor, it can reduce the noise by 2-3dB(A) when running at low speed at night. If the user needs a two-speed motor, they should separately request it when ordering.

4. Good corrosion resistance

The tower body, water tank and panel are all made of FRP material with good corrosion resistance, and light stabilizer is added to the gel coat resin, which has good anti-aging performance and does not change color for a long time. The steel structure of the tower body is galvanized after processing to improve the corrosion resistance of the cooling tower. During the normal service life, there is no need for additional corrosion protection.

5. Convenient combination

The combination method can be used to meet the requirements of different working conditions, and the user can also decide the combination according to the site situation, and adjust the appearance of the cooling tower according to the user's building characteristics.
