Material introduction

FRP is a plastic-based composite material composed of synthetic resin, glass fiber and its products. Synthetic resin is an organic compound, and glass fiber is an inorganic compound. Fiberglass reinforced plastics are made from synthetic resins with some additives. Synthetic resins are generally divided into thermoplastic and thermoset. Thermoplastic resins are generally solids in the form of powders, granules, plates or blocks. Softens or melts, flows and deforms when heated. It can return to a solid state if cooled again. As long as it is not decomposed due to excessive heating, the performance before and after heating is unchanged. Typical thermoplastic resins include polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl alcohol, polyamide (nylon 66) and the like. Thermoplastic resin molding generally adopts extrusion and injection, and the compounding of synthetic resin and glass fiber mainly relies on synthetic resin to bond loose glass fibers together to form a composite material with excellent performance. Although the fiber is soft and the resin matrix is fluid before compounding, it can be compounded into high-strength FRP after curing.
