ASTM E84 Building Material FRP GRP Panel

The ASTM E84 test is a standard of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) that measures the burning properties, or fire resistance, of building materials that may be exposed to flames using the Steiner tunnel chamber apparatus.

The best-known test for evaluating building materials for fire safety is the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Test Method E84, commonly known as the tunnel test. This test measures a material's reaction after being exposed to fire, in terms of flame spread and smoke density.

ASTME84 belongs to the Chinese standard classification: P16 engineering fire protection ASTM E84 is a surface combustion performance test, the flame spread index and smoke index are measured by the tunnel method, and then graded according to the flame spread index and smoke index, ASTM E84 grade is divided into Class A, B, C three levels.
