Flame retardant lighting panels are mainly used in steelworks, blast furnaces and other special occasions with high temperature, splashing or some flame retardant requirements.

The flame-retardant series lighting panels currently produced by our company are divided into two types: primary flame-retardant (50FR type, oxygen index ≥ 30) and secondary flame-retardant (25HTH type, oxygen index ≥ 26). . Unite primary and secondary flame-retardant lighting panels are produced with resins containing flame-retardant components in their molecular structure (also known as reactive flame-retardant resins).

Compared with general daylighting panels, flame-retardant lighting panels have slightly poorer aging resistance and yellowing resistance due to the flame-retardant ingredients contained in resin materials. After testing, after one year, the first-level flame-retardant lighting panels will appear yellowing, and the second-level flame-retardant lighting panels will appear slightly yellow (the first-level flame-retardant panels are more likely to yellow than the second-level flame-retardant panels). Yellowing will become more and more obvious over time, but Unite flame retardant lighting panels contain additional UV additives, which can delay the yellowing time and maintain the light transmittance of the lighting panels. To sum up: Flame-retardant lighting panels are more prone to yellowing than ordinary lighting panels, but it does not affect the quality. As the service life increases, only the light transmittance will decrease. There is no guarantee that the light transmittance will only have a loss of 3%~10%. But the yellowing does not mean the end of the life of the lighting board. The mechanical properties of the lighting board have basically remained unchanged, and can still meet its use requirements, so the warranty period promises to be kept unchanged by our company!

FRP lighting panels are thermosetting products, which will not produce liquid droplets when burned, and will not cause secondary damage to personnel at the fire scene. When the oxygen index is greater than or equal to 26%, it is a flame-retardant lighting board, that is, it can self-extinguish when it is away from the fire, and it is not non-combustible but passively combustible. In contact with flames, the temperature will rise, and thermal decomposition and fire will occur.
