Types of glass fibers used in Rolled Gel Coat FRP Sheet :
There are several types of glass fibers used in production. The following are the most commonly used types-
Short cut fiber: Short cut fiber is a type of glass fiber made by cutting continuous fiber bundles into shorter lengths. Then mix these shorter fibers with resin to make a cushion like material, and mold it into the desired shape. Short cut fibers are commonly used in the production of FRP sheets due to their ease of processing and low cost. The surface of this fiberglass board is smoother. For this type of fiberglass sheet, it is produced through continuous mixing and extrusion processes, and finally rolled into fiberglass coils.
Woven Roving: Woven Roving is a type of glass fiber made by weaving continuous fiber bundles together to form a fabric like material. Woven rovings are typically used for high-strength applications, where fiber orientation is crucial for the strength and stiffness of the final product. Our standard production is to use a layer of woven yarn. If ultra-high strength is required, we also offer double-layer woven rovings (2 layers) as an alternative solution. This type of glass fiber reinforced plastic sheet is either produced in rolls or produced piece by piece through molding processes.

Main Advantages of Gelcoat FRP panel
2. Durability: FRP panels are resistant to weathering, corrosion, and impact, making them suitable for outdoor and harsh environments. They can also resist chemicals and UV radiation, which helps extend their lifespan.
3. Electrical insulation: GRP board has good electrical insulation performance, making it suitable for electrical applications that do not consider conductivity.
4. Fireproof: When fire prevention is required, we can use special types of resins to manufacture FRP panels that meet the B1 fire rating. This type of FRP board has self extinguishing properties and low flame spread, making it suitable for fire-resistant applications.
5. Lightweight: Fiberglass coils are much lighter than traditional materials such as steel and concrete, making them easier to handle and install. When it is used in vehicles, it can effectively reduce fuel consumption.
6. Multifunctionality: Fiberglass boards can be molded into various shapes and sizes, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. They can also be produced in various colors and finishes to meet the specific requirements of projects.
7. Economically efficient: GRP boards are usually cheaper than other high-performance materials such as carbon fiber, making them an economically efficient solution
8. Good heat insulation.
9. Easy to clean and low maintenance cost.

Applications:
1. Commercial Trucks
Suitable for refrigerated trucks or dry vans transporting various dry goods, fruits, vegetables, fresh meat, cold drinks, etc. FRP materials are used for vehicle lining, roof panels, wall panels, ceiling panels and flooring.
2. Recreational Vehicles (RV). Trailers, caravans, motorhomes... FRP panels are widely used for the skin of roof panels, side wall panels, floors, and door panels.
3. Architecture: Used for prefabricated modular houses, mobile homes, mobile toilet posts, laboratory wall materials, clean rooms, car washing, etc.
4. Fiberglass board is combined with other core materials to form a lightweight, sturdy, and durable composite sandwich board. The core materials canbe XPS, EPS, PU, PP honeycomb, plywood, laminated wood...
4. Yacht and cruise ships
More and more new yachts will use FRP composite materials as building materials above the deck, such as wall panels, floors, ceilings, etc.
